No, we don’t always know. Sometimes God reveals part of His will for our lives but for the other part we must trust Him. I have heard people say that we must trust God when we cannot trace Him. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to thine own understanding. Acknowledging Him in all our ways and He will direct our paths. If God told us everything , then what would be the need for trust?

God uses His word, and those who share it with others, to work in your life. ... In order to see God continuing to work in your life, go to church, study the Bible, and pray, and actively look for what God is saying to you, how He wants you to turn your life around, and how He promises to guide you the whole way.

Missy Hughes Smith of St Louis Missouri wrote: No we do not know always what God is doing in our lives that’s why it’s important to just walk by faith and not by sight We also will not understand at all times while dad is also but n our lives What is vital that we ask him for Knowledge and fear God which is the beginning of wisdom We also must not be weary in well doing he told us we will reap if we faint not.
