A seed or embryo is a group of cells ready to form into a stem and first leaves. Once the coat around the seed is moistened, the embroyo cells expand and burst out into a process called "germination". Germination is the process of something coming into existence and developing. This produces a seedling of a plant which ultimately grows into a new plant. Etc, etc. Generations to generations. For example, werged seeds of the Maple tree get from their parents, a full set of instructions on how to grow."Luke 6:45 A good man out of the good of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks." vs, 43. "For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit: neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit." A single tree drop hundreds or thousands of seeds. Some will become snacks for insects or fall where the ground is too hard, too dry or just not suitable for trees. Some though will fall where the situation is just right.

Luke 8:11-15" Now the parable is this: The seed is the Word of God. Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved. They on the rock are they which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away. And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection. But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it and bring forth fruit with patience.
